Private label lets a retailer, D2C brand or distributor sell a product under its own name without building a plant. In dehydrated foods the model works well because the ingredient panel is short and the shelf life is long.
What the manufacturer provides
- The product and its specification (cut, moisture, pack weight).
- Food-safe packaging and sealing; nitrogen flushing where useful.
- Batch and date coding; FSSAI-compliant label content for the format.
- Documentation per shipment.
What you decide
- Brand, artwork and pack size.
- Range — e.g. four dried fruits, three pet treats, a set of powders.
- Positioning and price.
The steps
- Brief: products, formats, target quantities and launch date.
- Samples: we send product in plain packs for you to evaluate.
- Specification: locked sheet per SKU.
- Packaging: you supply artwork; we advise on pouch type and label content.
- Pilot and production.
What we do not do
We do not publish minimum order quantities or lead times on the website — they depend on the SKU mix and packaging — and we do not claim certifications we do not hold. Both are stated clearly in the quotation.
